Chasing your dream…

The only fear you have is the one you create yourself. I have always been a dreamer, a creator, a motivator and that shoulder if you needed to cry on.

I started taking pictures with a Kodak Instamatic that my father gave to me before 6th grade camp. I remember being so excited and I was going to show him what I could do. My father was a very talented photographer and had a beautiful Pentax film camera that he captured all his images with. I returned from camp and handed my father my camera. He removed the film and off we were to drop it off. “How do you think you did?”, he asked. “Great!”, I said with a very confident smile. A week later he came home with an envelope and handed it to me. My heart was racing with anticipation and I sat there with disbelief when I opened the envelope. “These aren’t my pictures!”, I told him shaking my head. My father began to tell me that you need to understand your craft before you begin to create. Wow, those words have stayed with me until this day.
